Die Presse-Information der Citroën Deutschland GmbH:
Neben dem Auftritt der Citroën Deutschland GmbH auf der Techno-Classica in Essen, der unter dem Motto „Citroën und das offene Vergnügen“ steht, präsentieren sich die Citroën Clubs auf der sogenannten „Citroën-Straße“ in Halle 9.1. und zeigen eine Retrospektive der 6-Zylinder von Citroën.
Organisiert von der Amicale Citroën Deutschland widmet sich der Messeauftritt der Vereinigung der nichtkommerziellen deutschen Citroën- und Panhard-Clubs, zugleich Partner der Citroën Deutschland GmbH, einem weiteren interessanten Thema aus der Citroën Historie: Der rund 400 Quadratmeter große Messestand auf der „Citroën-Straße“ in Halle 9.1. steht im Zeichen der „6-Zylinder von Citroën“. Den Besuchern wird eine breite Auswahl an historischen Citroën-Modellen präsentiert, die mit 6-Zylinder-Motoren ausgestattet waren und für Jahrzehnte besonderer Innovation im Automobilbau des französischen Herstellers stehen.
Die Geschichte des 6-Zylinder-Autobaus bei Citroën begann im Oktober 1928 auf dem Pariser Salon mit der Einführung des Citroën C6, der vier Jahre später vom „Citroën 15“, auch liebevoll „Rosalie“ genannt, abgelöst wurde. 1938 folgte die 6-Zylinder-Version des Citroën Traction Avant, der 15-Six.
Darüber hinaus wird auf der „Citroën-Straße“ mit dem 6DS ein seltenes Panhard-Cabriolet aus dem Jahr 1929 präsentiert, das mit einem schiebergesteuerten 6-Zylinder-Reihenmotor mit einem Hubraum von 3.507 cm3 ausgestattet ist.
Für Prestige in Kombination mit 6-Zylinder-Technik steht der Citroën SM mit den von Maserati unter Leitung von Giulio Alfieri entwickelten 90°-V6-Motoren mit 2,7- sowie 3,0 Liter-Hubraum sowie als moderner Klassiker der Citroën XM. Ergänzt wird die Sonderausstellung durch die Modelle Citroën DS Préfecture, Citroën CX Prestige, Citroën BX RS sowie Citroën 2CV AZAM.
Ein weiteres Highlight stellt die Ausstellung von zwei Prototypen-Motoren dar: Je ein wasser- sowie luftgekühlter 6-Zylinder-Motor in flacher Bauweise, die für den Citroën DS vorgesehen, jedoch nie in Serienproduktion gegangen waren, werden erstmals in Deutschland präsentiert.

Citroën Deutschland has released another press information today which we’re proud to share with you:
Techno-Classica in Essen: Citroën Clubs present the history of 6 cylinder models of Citroën
Besides the presence of Citroën Germany GmbH at the Techno-Classica in Essen, which is themed “Citroën and the open pleasure,” the Citroën clubs are exhibiting on the so-called “Citroën-Strasse” in Hall 9.1, and show a retrospective of the 6-cylinder Citroën models.
Organized by the Amicale Citroën Deutschland and dedicated to the fair presentation of the association of the non-commercial German Citroën and Panhard clubs, and as a partner of Citroën Deutschland GmbH, another interesting topic of the Citroën history will be on show: The 400-sq.m. booth of the “Citroën-Strasse” in Hall 9.1 is dedicated to “The 6-cylinder models of Citroën”. Visitors will get a presentation of a wide selection of historical Citroën and Panhard models that were equipped with 6-cylinder engines and available for decades, particularly representing the innovation in the automotive industry from the French manufacturers.
The story of the 6-cylinder vehicle production at Citroën began in October 1928 at the Paris Motor Show with the introduction of the Citroën C6, which was four years later continued by the “Citroën 15” which also affectionately were called “Rosalie”. 1938 the next chapter was created by the 6-cylinder version of the Citroën Traction Avant, the 15-Six.

The special exhibition is complemented by other Citroën types such as a DS 19 Préfecture, a Citroën CX Prestige, a Citroën BX RS and a Citroën 2CV AZAM.
Another highlight of the exhibition is the display of two prototype engines: One water-and air-cooled 6-cylinder engine in a compact form, which was supposed to be introduced to the Citroën DS, however, were never went into official production, is presented for the first time in Germany.
