Die Citroën Deutschland GmbH hat eine Pressemitteilung zur “Citroën-Strasse”, der Ausstellergemeinschaft der deutschen Citroën- und Panhard-Clubs auf der Techno-Classica 2014 herausgegeben, die wir an dieser Stelle gern wiedergeben:

Techno-Classica in Essen: Citroën-Clubs präsentieren die Geschichte der Citroën Hydropneumatik

Neben dem Auftritt der Citroën Deutschland GmbH in Halle 4 auf der Techno-Classica in Essen präsentieren sich die Citroën-Clubs auf der Citroën-Straße in Halle 9.1 (Stand 135) unter dem Motto „60 Jahre Hydro-Culture“. Die Hydropneumatik, über Fahrzeuggenerationen hinweg ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal von Citroën Automobilen, feiert in diesem Jahr ihr 60-jähriges Jubiläum.

Organisiert wird der Messeauftritt von Amicale Citroën Deutschland, der Vereinigung der nichtkommerziellen deutschen Citroën- und Panhard-Clubs und Partner der Citroën Deutschland GmbH. Auf dem rund 400 Quadratmeter großen Messestand werden zahlreiche historische Citroën Modelle präsentiert, die die Geschichte der Hydropneumatik bei Citroën dokumentieren.

Der auf der Citroën-Straße ausgestellte Citroën Traction Avant 15-Six H mit hydropneumatischer Hinterachse stellte den Auftakt der legendären Citroën Technologie dar. Er gilt als Wegbereiter der kommerziellen Nutzung der hydropneumatischen Federung und wurde zwischen April 1954 und Juni 1955 über 3.000 Mal verkauft.

Mit der Einführung des Citroën DS 19 wurde die Hydropneumatik für die Lenkung, die Bremsen, ein halbautomatisiertes Getriebe und die Niveauregulierung eingesetzt – ein zur damaligen Zeit einzigartiger Fahrkomfort war erreicht. Mit einem Schnittmodell des Citroën DS wird die komplexe Technologie der Hydropneumatik auf der Citroën-Straße anschaulich dargestellt.

Mit dem Citroën CX Turbo Serie 1 sowie dem Citroën CX Prototyp „Projet L“, aber auch mit dem Citroën M35 und dem Citroën GS als Sondermodell „Drapeaux“ können weitere Meilensteine in der Geschichte der Citroën Hydropneumatik auf der Citroën-Straße bewundert werden.

Ein ebenfalls ausgestellter Citroën SM ist ein Beleg dafür, dass die komfortable Hydropneumatik bei Geschwindigkeiten von bis zu 230 km/h auch mit einem hohen Maß an Sportlichkeit vereinbar war.

Der Citroën HY Ambulance mit „Currus“-Aufbau zeigt, dass die Marke auch bei ihren Nutzfahrzeugen auf die einzigartige Hydropneumatik setzte.

Ein Schnittmodell des Citroën BX 16 TRS sorgt für eine anschauliche Darstellung der Technologie zu Beginn der 80er Jahre.

Mit dem Citroën XM – auf der Techno-Classica als „Multiplexée“/„Multimedia“ ausgestellt – brach dank der elektronischen Steuerung die digitale Ära der Regelung der Hydropneumatik an.

Ein weiteres Funktionsmodell der Citroën Hydropneumatik rundet die Ausstellung auf der Citroën-Straße ab.

Die Geschichte der Hydropneumatik bei Citroën wird in diesen Tagen mit der Einführung des Citroën C5 CrossTourer fortgeführt. Dank der Federung Hydractive III+ und einer intelligenten Traktionskontrolle bietet er ein ganz besonderes Fahrverhalten.

Prominenter Besuch

Mit Robert Opron, dem Citroën Chef-Designer in den 60er und 70er Jahren, wird am 29./30. März 2014 prominenter Besuch auf der Citroën Straße erwartet. Robert Opron war unter anderem verantwortlich für das Design des Citroën SM, CX sowie des GS/GSA. An den beiden Abschlusstagen der Messe wird darüber hinaus mit Thierry Dubois auch ein berühmter Auto-Comic-Zeichner Gast auf dem Stand in Halle 9.1 sein.

Auf dem Citroën Messestand in Halle 4 präsentiert die Citroën Deutschland GmbH unter dem Motto „Einfach Citroën“ drei historische Modelle, die auf das Wesentliche reduziert sind: Citroën 5HP, 2CV sowie Méhari.

Im Rahmen der Messe-Präsentation findet die deutsche Vorpremiere des neuen Citroën C4 Cactus statt. Am 27./28. März 2014 wird unter anderem Anne Ruthmann, Projektleiterin Citroën C4 Cactus, als Ansprechpartnerin auf dem Citroën Stand sein.

Citroën Deutschland GmbH issues a press release about Citroën-Strasse @ Techno-Classica 2014

The Amicale Citroën Deutschland is quite happy to inform you that the German subsidiary of Citroën (Citroën Deutschland GmbH) has published a dedicated press release about the presentation of all Citroën and Panhard clubs at world’s biggest vintage car show, the Techno-Classica 2014 in Essen/Ruhr.

For us this is another proof that the long-term partnership between the clubs, Amicale Citroën Deutschland and the manufacturer is in excellent shape and will continue to shape the joint engagement.

Techno-Classica in Essen: Citroën-Clubs present the history of Citroën hydropneumatic technology

Next to the presentation of Citroën Deutschland GmbH in Halle 4 at the Techno-Classica in Essen also the German Citroën clubs are showing off at “Citroën-Straße” in Hall 9.1 (Booth No. 135) under the slogan “60 Jahre Hydro-Culture” (“60 Years of Hydro-Culture”). The hydropneumatic, a unique technology for generations of CITROËN vehicles, will be having it’s 60th anniversary this year.

The “Citroën-Strasse” will be organized by the Amicale Citroën Deutschland, the association of the non-commercial german Citroën- and Panhard clubs and partner of Citroën Deutschland GmbH. On the 400 sq.m. booth quite a number of different historical Citroën will be presented which demonstrate the historical evolution of the hydropneumatic at Citroën.

The exhibited Citroën Traction Avant 15-Six H with hydropneumatic rear suspension paved the way for the legendary Citroën technology. This model is perceived to be the introduction of the commercialization of the hydropneumatic suspension and was sold between April 1954 and June 1955 in more than 3.000 units.

With the introduction of the legendary Citroën DS 19 the hydropneumatic technology was extended to also support steering, brakes, a semi-automatic clutch and a full hydraulic suspension – at that time, a unique driving comfort was achieved. With a cutaway model of the Citroën DS the quite complex hydropneumatic technology will be made excitingly visible for visitors of the “Citroën-Straße”.

Wit the Citroën CX Turbo Serie 1 as well as with the Citroën CX prototype „Projet L“, but also with the Citroën M35 and the Citroën GS model painted in European flags „Drapeaux“, additional milestones of the history of the Citroën hydropneumatic can be admired at the Citroën-Straße booth.

The additionally presented Citroën SM is a proof that the rather comfortable hydropneumatic can be also be combined with a high sportive ambition for speeds up to 230 km/h.

The Citroën HY Ambulance with „Currus“ body shows that the brand also has been introducing this technology for their utility vehicles.

A cutaway model of the 1982 Citroën BX 16 TRS allows a visible presentation of the technology at the beginning of the 1980s..

With the Citroën XM – shown at Techno-Classica as the very rare „Multiplexée“/„Multimedia“ variant – the digital era of the management of the hydropneumatics was introduced.

An additional functional model of the Citroën hydropneumatic completes the exhibition at the “Citroën-Straße”.

The history of the hydropneumatic at CITROËN is continued in these days with the introduction of the Citroën C5 CrossTourer. Thanks to the Hydractive III+ and an intelligent traktion control it provides an excellent driving comfort.

Prominent Visitors

With the presence of Robert Opron, chief responsible for the Citroën design during the 1960s and 1970s, the “Citroën-Strasse” awaits a prominent visitor on 29./30. March 2014. Robert Opron was amongst other responsible for the design of the Citroën SM, CX as well as for the GS/GSA. On both weekend days also the very well known comic artist Thierry Dubois will be present at the booth in Hall 9.1.

At the Citroën booth in Hall 4, Citroën Deutschland GmbH presents under the slogan „Einfach Citroën“ (“simply Citroën”) three historical models which concentrate on the most essential: Citroën 5HP, 2CV as well as the Méhari.

Within the context of the Techno-Classica presentation, the German pre-premiere of the new Citroën C4 Cactus takes place. On 27./28. March 2014 a.o. Mme. Anne Ruthmann, project responsible for the Citroën C4 Cactus, will be available for discussions at the Citroën booth.

Comic-Zeichner Thierry Dubois als Gast auf der Citroën-Strasse @ Techno-Classica 2014

Die Fans und Freunde automobiler Comics kennen ihn sicherlich, nicht zuletzt auch dadurch, daß auf zahlreichen Veranstaltungspostern von nationalen und internationalen Citroën-Treffen seine Illustrationen oft zu finden sind.

Die Amicale Citroën Deutschland freut sich, in diesem Jahr den berühmten Zeichner Thierry Dubois als Gast auf der “Citroën-Strasse”, dem Stand der deutschen Citroën- und Panhard-Clubs auf der Techno-Classica 2014, am Wochenende (Sa.+So.) begrüssen zu dürfen.

Kurz zu seiner Person: Thierry Dubois wurde 1963 in Saint-Maur-des-Fossés in Frankreich geboren.

Er arbeitet sowohl als Autor und Zeichner für diverse Magazine, u. a. für “La Vie de l’Auto” und “Les Routiers”. Er hat mehrere Bücher geschrieben, sein bekanntestes Werk ist “C’était la Nationale 7” über die berühmte französische Nationalstrasse “Route Nationale 7”, für die er als ausgesprochener Fachmann gilt.

Als Texter hat er mit dem Zeichner Jean-Luc Delvaux die Comic-Serie Jacques Giphar (dt. Jacques Gibrat) erschaffen. In Frankreich ist Band 4 bereits erschienen, auf Deutsch liegen die Alben 1 bis 3 vor.

Begrüßen Sie Thierry Dubois am 29. Und 30. März 2014 am Stand der Amicale Citroën und lassen Sie sich eines seiner Werke mit einer kleinen Zeichnung versehen. Weitere deutsche und französische Bücher von diesem sympathischen Künstler gibt es am Tisch (in Deutschland herausgegeben von Salleck Publications) zu kaufen.

Neuheiten am Stand:

Seit der letzten Techno-Classica ist nur der vierte Band von “Margots Reportagen: Der Pilot mit den zwei Gesichtern” neu erschienen. Da dieser während der Hochzeitsreise von Margot in Italien spielt, kommen darin hauptsächlich italienische Autotypen vor.

Dafür war der Mosaik-Verlag mit seiner Michel-Vaillant-Ausgabe fleißig und hat mehrere der alten Abenteuer neu aufgelegt.

Lesenswert ist auch der Band “Fanfoué: Morde in Abondance”, in dem auch einige französische Automodelle wie der Facel Vega auftauchen. Fanfoué, ein älterer, neugieriger Mann, wird von einem befreundeten Pfarrer gebeten, herauszufinden, wer ihm anonyme Drohbriefe schickt. Der Pfarrer arbeitet an einem Werk über die Auswanderer aus dem Tal von Abondance, und damals kam es auch zu einem Mord. Der Zeichner und Autor Felix Meynet kann nicht nur schöne Frauen, sondern auch Oldtimer zeichnen.

Dazu bringt Salleck Publications noch die bisher erschienen Sammelbände der klassischen Fliegerserie Buck Danny mit, die in den 1960er Jahren am Kiosk als Rex Danny sehr beliebt war, und die jetzt eine schöne Neuauflage erfährt. Natürlich findet man in diesen voluminösen Büchern nicht nur Flugzeuge, sondern auch Oldtimer der damaligen Zeit…

Thierry Dubois our special guest at Citroën-Strasse, Techno-Classica 2014

The fans and friends of automobile comics certainly know him, not least by the fact that his illustrations are often found on numerous publications along national and international Citroën meetings.

The Amicale Citroën Deutschland is quite happy to be able to welcome the famous artist Thierry Dubois as our special guest on the “Citroën-Strasse” booth, the assembly of the German Citroën and Panhard clubs on the Techno-Classica 2014.

Thierry Dubois was born in 1963 in Saint-Maur-des-Fosses in France.

He works both as an author and illustrator for several magazines, including for “La Vie de l’ Auto” and “Les Routiers” . He has written several books, his most famous work being “C’était la Nationale 7” about the famous French national road “Route Nationale 7” , for which he is known to be the true specialist.

As an author he jointly created together with the artist Jean-Luc Delvaux the comic series “Jacques Giphar” (also known as “Jacques Gibrat”). In France, Issue No. 4 has already been released, while in Germany the issues 1-3 have been released already in German language.

We welcome Thierry Dubois during 29 and 30 March 2014 at the club booth of Amicale Citroën and the clubs. Visitors are invited to get one of his works as a small drawing into one of his publications. Other German and French books of this great artist will be available for purchase. In Germany his books are being published by Salleck Publications.

Here’s the latest issues:

Since the last Techno-Classica, the fourth volume of “Margot’s reports: the pilot with two faces” is newly published. As this takes place during the honeymoon of Margot in Italy, mainly Italian car types are being found in the illustrations.

Also, publisher Mosaic was recently quite active and has re-issued several famous adventures of his most famous character “Michel Vaillant”.

Quite worth reading is also the new issue “Fanfoué: Murders in Abondance” in which appear some French car models like the Facel Vega. Fanfoué, an older, curious man , is asked by a fellow priest to find out who sent him anonymous threatening letters. The pastor is working on a book about the emigrants from the Abondance valley, and at that time there was also an assassination… The artist and author Felix Meynet can not only draw beautiful women, but also quite nicely vintage vehicles – so this book certainly is also worth a look.

On the Citroën-Strasse booth we expect also additional books being shown off by “Salleck Publications” such as anthologies of classic aviator series “Buck Danny” which had been sold during the 1960s at the kiosk as very popular series “Rex Danny”, and is now experiencing a beautiful new re-edition. Of course, you find in those voluminous books not only aircraft but also classic cars of the ages…
