Vom Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) hat uns folgender Bericht rund um die FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens, www.fiva.org) erreicht, den wir hiermit an alle Clubs mit der Bitte um Weiterleitung an ihre Mitglieder geben:
Die Generalversammlung (GV) der FIVA fand am 30. Oktober 2010 in Ljubljana statt (siehe Bilder). An den beiden Tagen vor der GV tagten die unterschiedlichen Kommissionen. Die 59 Mitgliedsstaaten waren fast alle durch Delegierte vertreten bzw. hatten ihre Stimmrechte delegiert. Der Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) hat ein Mandat in dem erweiterten Arbeitskreis Legislation und nahm in dieser Eigenschaft an dem Treffen teil. Eine professionell erarbeitete Mittelfrist-Strategie (bis zum Jahr 2015) wurde in ihren wesentlichen Grundzügen vorgestellt. Sie steht auf drei Säulen:
– Aufbau einer finanziellen Stabilität der FIVA, vor allem mit einer Stärkung der Einnahmesituation
– Erhöhung des Bekanntheitsgrads und der Möglichkeiten zur politischen Einflussnahme
– Verbesserung der Effizienz der FIVA durch einen größeren Professionalisierungsgrad
Hierzu gibt es bereits verschiedene Maßnahmenpakete, die im Einzelnen mit den unterschiedlichen Ressorts detailliert werden sollen […]
In der FIVA hat man erkannt, dass die Zukunft der historischen Fahrzeuge abhängig von einem Status als „Kulturgut“ ist. Analog zum internationalen Denkmalschutz, der in der Charta von Venedig manifestiert ist, wurde durch Mitglieder der FIVA ein erster Entwurf für eine Charta für den Schutz historischer Fahrzeuge ausgearbeitet. Diese wurde unter dem Namen „Charta of Turin“ den
Mitgliedern der GV vorgestellt. In den nächsten Monaten soll die Einbringung von Änderungen ermöglicht werden, um anlässlich der nächsten GV diese Charta zu verabschieden. Diese Charta
könnte dann Grundlage für alle weiteren politischen Tätigkeiten sein (z. B. Anerkennung bei der UNESCO)…

About the VDA: The German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) consists of about 600 member companies, who have come together to research and produce clean and safe auto-mobility for the future. The General Assembly (GA) of the FIVA (Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens, www.fiva.org) has taken place on Lubljana on October 30th, 2010. On both days before the GA the different commissions have been holding their meetings. All 59 member countries were almost all represented by their delegates resp. had delegated their voting rights. A professional mid term strategy (until 2015) has been presented in their main guidelines. It is founded on 3 major pillars:
* Establishment of a financial sound foundation of the FIVA, especially increased income situation
* Increase of awareness and also possibilities of political influence
* becoming more efficient by creating a higher degree of professionalism
Within FIVA it has been recognized that the future of vintage cares is dependent on receiving some kind of status as objects of cultural value. In analogy to the protection of a country’s historical heritage which is established in the “Charter of Venice”, a “Charter of Turin” is under preparation which establishes the preservation of the automotive heritage. In the near future, several details are to be clarified until this Charter is going to be finalized. This Charter could be the foundation for any upcoming political activities (eg. recognition at UNESCO etc.).
