Spezielle Beleuchtung, verschiedene Radkappen, größere Stoßstangen, anders ausgeschnittene hintere Kotflügeln … Die im belgischen Werk in Forest gebaut Citroën unterscheiden sich in vielerlei Hinsicht von den in Frankreich produzierten Modellen. Leider sind die in den Werksarchiven zu findenden Unterlagen nicht wirklich ausreichend, sodaß die Rekonstruktion der Geschichte der im belgischen Forest produzierten Modelle für viele Jahre rätselhaft blieb. Allerdings gelang es dem Autor mit einigen Original-Dokumenten, Interviews mit Angestellten, die in der belgischen Fabrik gearbeitet, Publikationen über die Anlage und nicht zuletzt der Analyse von einigen der in Forest produzierten Fahrzeuge, mehr als ausreichend Informationen zu finden, um dieses Buch zu füllen.

“Les Filles de Forest” (“die Töchter von Forest”) beschreibt die Produktion und Entwicklung der Zweizylinder-Modelle der Produktion in Forest, angefangen vom ersten 2CV A im Jahr 1952 über die neuesten Visa aus dem Jahr 1980 sowie alle Modelle dazwischen, wie beispielsweise Citroen Ami 6, die Dyane, der Méhari und der LN. Auch exotischere Fahrzeuge wie beispielsweise die Modelle Radar und Lohr wurden analysiert. Ergänzt wird das Kompendium durch Übersichten und Farbtabellen, Stoffe, Stoffe, Produktionszahlen und vielen hunderten, teils bislang unveröffentlichten Bildern, und bilden damit quasi die Referenz auf rund 360 Seiten.

Special lighting, different wheel covers, larger bumpers, cut out rear fenders… The Citroëns built at the Belgian factory in Forest differ in many ways from the French-built models. Unfortunately the factory archives were not always well documented, so reconstructing the history of the cars produced in Forest was quite a puzzle. However with some original documents, interviews with people who worked in the factory, publications about the plant and analysis of some cars produced in Forest, more than enough information was found to fill this book.

“Les filles de Forest” describes the production and evolution of the two-cylinder cars built at Forest, from the first 2CV A in 1952 to the latest Visa in 1980, and all models in between, such as the Citroën Ami 6, the Dyane, the Méhari and the LN. Also more exotic vehicles like the Radar and Lohr are reviewed. Overviews of body colours, fabrics, production figures and chassis numbers by type and by year complete this 360 page thick book, along with hundreds of images, some of which have never been published before.

Mehr als 230 Gigabyte an Daten wurden innerhalb von rund 30 Monaten transferiert. Amicale-Statistics & New Brochure available

Dear unknown “secret friend” – let’s give a warm welcome to the 10-millionth access to our website this week! We’re very proud to have achieved this number within the timeframe from January 2010 onwards (this is when we started our statistics, the website had been alive since 2004 already so a largely higher number de facto has to be considered).

More than 230GB of data has been downloaded during this 30 month period. In average we count more than 12GB data transfer per month nowadays. Year over Year (YoY) we double the number of accesses and download volumes (excluding search engine traffic). In average, each visitor accesses 6.2 pages per visit.

This makes the Amicale Citroën Deutschland being one of the most frequented Citroën enthusiast portals in Germany and beyond.

Some interesting facts:
* We’re very happy to see that most visitors are from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Netherlands.
* Interestingly, we welcome more visitors from the Russian Federation than from Belgium!
* More than 20 Percent of all visitors spend more than 2 minutes on our portal.
* 5 percent of all visitors are using mobile devices already, Android as double as much as iPhone / iPad users.

And – something that Citroën should be aware of: 22% of keyphrases being searched are….. around the “DS3” model! This means many people associate the Amicale with information about modern cars, and not vintage cars only. This underlines our position, that with support by the clubs, their members as well as the Amicale as “brand ambassadors”, the marque positively benefits from this perception.

Within the last 15 months, more than 1.500 subscribers from 31 countries have registered for receiving the Amicale newsletter, amongst them the ACI Delegates as well as many journalists and media representatives from Germany and abroad. They have received around 250 articles and blog posts published on the website so far.

10 millions, info très interessant en plus sur la “DS3”, et une nouvelle publication de l’Amicale Citroën Deutschland

Cher inconnu ami, nous allons donner un accueil chaleureux à l’accès 10.000.000e à notre site cette semaine! Nous sommes très fiers d’avoir atteint ce nombre dans les délais à partir de janvier 2010 (c’est à ce moment nous avons commencé nos statistiques, le site avait été vivant depuis 2004 déjà si un certain nombre largement supérieur de facto doit être pris en compte).

Plus de 230Gigabyte de données a été téléchargé au cours de cette période de 30 mois. En moyenne, nous comptons plus de 12 Go de transfert de données par mois. Chaque année (en glissement annuel) on double le nombre d’accès et les volumes de téléchargement (l’exclusion du trafic des sites de recherche). En moyenne, chaque visiteur accède à 6.2 pages par visite.

Cela rend l’Amicale Citroën Deutschland étant l’un des portails les plus fréquentés pour les passionnés Citroën en Allemagne et etrangers.

Quelques faits intéressants:

* Nous sommes très heureux de voir que la plupart des visiteurs viennent d’Allemagne, Suisse, Autriche, France, et Pays-Bas.
* Fait intéressant, nous nous félicitons de plus de visiteurs de la Fédération de Russie que de la Belgique!

2. flämisches Citroën Weinhaus-Treffen in Wintrich/Mosel

Die Citroën-Fan-Gemeinde ist um eine weitere länderübergreifende Veranstaltung reicher geworden: vom 11.-15. Juli 2012 treffen sich Fahrer alter und junger Citroën aus Deutschland und Belgien an der Mosel zu einem bunt gemischen Citroën-Treffen in Wintrich, nahe Bernkastel-Kues.

Dazu gibt es eine nette Geschichte: Als einige 2CV-Liebhaber, darunter Eddy und Anita aus Belgien, 2010 auf eine musikalische Übungsreise an die Mosel fuhren, entstand zwischen Wein und Traubensaft die Idee, hier ein Citroentreffen zu organisieren.

Schnell kamen konkrete Pläne zustande und man begann mit den Vorbereitungen für das “1. Flämische Weinhaustreffen“. Der Name des Meetings lässt vermuten, wem die Organisation des erfolgreichen Treffens zu danken hat, nämlich Werner und Ulla vom “Flämisches Weinhaus”, die alles Praktische vor Ort regeln und die lokalen Aktivitäten und Ausflüge organisieren.

Nach dem großartigen Erfolg und den zahlreichen positiven Resonanzen vom letzten Jahr, findet vom 11. – 15.Juli 2012 das zweite Citroentreffen statt.

When Belgium Citroen fans discover Germany – the 2nd flemish wine house meeting at the Mosel in July 2012

In 2010 some Flemish 2CV drivers went on a holiday with their music school at the banks of the Mosel river, when they had the great idea of organising a Citroën meeting together with a local winery.

Faster then they could have hoped, there were the first specific plans for the First “Flaemisches Weinhaus” meeting. The name which was given to the meeting comes from the local winery where the idea was born.

Werner and Ulla from the local winery arranged discovery trips to other local wineries and a lot of different activities on the meeting area. Thanks to them, the first meeting was a great success.

After the first great meeting in 2011, the next one will take place from 11/07 till 15/07 in 2012.

Citroen enthusiasme des Belges en Allemagne – le 2eme rencontre a Moselle

En 2010, plusieurs amateurs de 2CV participèrent à un stage sur les rives de la Moselle (D). Entre quelques verres de vin on de jus de raisin,
l’ideé germa d’organiser un meeting.

Le projet se concrétisa assez rapidement et l’organisation du premier “flämisches weinhaus treffen” vit le jour.

C’est grâce à Ulla et Werner de la “Flämisches Weinhaus” que des contacts locaux furent pris et il en résulta un vaste choix d’activités et d’excursions.

Après une année de planification et d’organisation pratique, le premier “flämisches weinhaus treffen” eut lieu à Wintrich, grâce entre autres à Anita, Eddy et Werner.

Après le succès et les nombreux participants de l’an passé, la 2ème édition aura lieu du 11/07 au 15/07 2012.

Am 22. April 2012 findet zum zehnten Mal im belgischen Ronquières, nicht weit von Nivelles entfernt, das Citroenjumble statt, unseres Wissens nach das größte belgische Citroën-Treffen unter Führung der ABCC, der Amicale Belge des Clubs Citroën, also der Schwesterorganisation zu unserer Amicale Citroën Deutschland.

Ronquières ist bekannt für sein Schiffshebewerk (französisch “Plan incliné de Ronquières”) und befindet sich in Belgien in der Provinz Hennegau (französisch Hainaut) im Landesteil Wallonien. Es wurde zwischen 1962 und 1968 gebaut und ersetzt 14 Schleusen im Zuge des Kanal Charleroi–Brüssel.

Beim Schiffshebewerk Ronquières handelt es sich um ein doppeltes Schrägaufzug-Hebewerk mit Längs- und Nassförderung. Die schiefe Ebene hat eine Länge von 1,432 Kilometer und überwindet einen Höhenunterschied von 67,73 Meter.

Die beiden Tröge haben jeweils ihr eigenes Gegengewicht und arbeiten daher völlig unabhängig voneinander. Die Tröge werden durch je 8 Stahltrossen von einem Koepe-System mit einer Zugkraft von 5.200 Tonnen angetrieben. Sie haben eine Länge von 91 Meter und eine Breite von 12 Meter. Die Wassertiefe im Trog kann zwischen 3,0 und 3,7 Meter schwanken.

Mit einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 1,2 m/s beträgt die reine Fahrzeit zwischen den beiden Enden etwa 22 Minuten. Einschließlich der Zeiten für das Öffnen und Schließen der Tore und dem An- und Ablegemanöver benötigt ein Schiff etwa 50 Minuten, um die komplette Anlage zu durchfahren.

Genau hier an diesem technischen Highlight findet das Treffen historischer Citroën und Panhard statt. Die Anmeldegebühr beträgt 12 Euro pro Fahrzeug, und wer ein warmes Mittagessen haben will, kann dies zu einem Preis von 15 Euro vorbestellen.

Citroën technology meets ship transportation technology: Citroën-Jumble in Ronquières 22nd April 2012

On 22 April 2012, the largest Belgian Citroën meeting led by the ABCC, the Amicale Belge des clubs Citroën, which is the sister organization to our Amicale Citroën Germany, will take place for the tenth time in the Belgian city of Ronquières, not far from Nivelles, known as the “Citroenjumble”.

So why Ronquières? This city is famous for its boat lift (in French “Plan de incliné Ronquières”) and is located in the province of Hainaut in Belgium in the Walloon part of the country. The boat lift was built in 1962-1968 and replaced 14 locks in the course of the Charleroi-Brussels channel.

The shiplift at Ronquières is a double-inclined elevator lift with longitudinal and wet promotion. The inclined plane has a length of 1.432 kilometers and covers a height difference of 67.73 meters.

The two troughs each have their own counter-weight, and they operate completely independently. The troughs are driven by steel cables, each 8 by a Koepe system with a force of 5,200 tons. They have a length of 91 meters and a width of 12 meters. The water depth in the trough can vary from 3.0 to 3.7 meters.

With a top speed of 1.2 m/s, the driving time between the two ends about 22 minutes. Including the time for opening and closing of gates and the arrival and berthing a ship requires about 50 minutes to go through the entire system.

Right next to this technical highlight, the meeting of all historic Citroën and Panhard will be held. The registration fee is 12 Euro per vehicle, and who wants to have a hot lunch can pre-order it at a price of 15 Euro.

Le 22 Avril 2012 aura lieu pour la dixième fois la “Citroen Jumble” a Ronquières, pas loin de Nivelles, la plus grande réunion Citroën belge dirigée par l’ABCC, l’Amicale Belge des clubs Citroën, qui est l’organisation soeur de notre Amicale Citroën Deutschland.

Ronquières est célèbre pour son ascenseur à bateaux (en français “Plan de Ronquières incliné”) et est situé dans la province du Hainaut en Belgiquedans la partie Wallonne du pays. Il a été construit en 1962-1968 et remplacé 14 écluses dans le cadre du canal Charleroi-Bruxelles.

Lorsque élévateur à bateau Ronquières est un ascenseur ascenseur à double chambre inclinée à la promotion longitudinale et humide. Le plan incliné a une longueur de 1,432 km et couvre une différence de hauteur de 67,73 mètres.

Am Wochenende des 14.-16. Oktober lädt 2CVRT Sie ein ins Herz der belgischen Ardennen auf die schönste Rennstrecke der Welt, “Spa-Francorchamps”.

Sie werden auch die außergewöhnliche Möglichkeit erhalten, eine Runde dort mit dem 2CV zu drehen. Der fabelhafte Konvoi von klassischen Enten – wunderbar geschmückt oder eingerichtet – wird kurz vor dem Start des “24 Stunden Entenrennen” stattfinden. Die besten werden nicht weniger als 400 Runden ablegen.

In der Campingzone werden WC und warme Duschen frei zur Verfügung gestellt, sowie ebenfalls Holz zum Grillen, um Ihre Nacht zu erwärmen.

In der Shoppingzone kann man nach Ersatzteilen und Enten-Material suchen, sowie Erinnerungsstücke erstehen.

Hier werden auch verschiedene Animationen stattfinden und Sie können ebenfalls die Steigung der “Raidillon” ansehen.

2CV Racing at it’s best

During the weekend of October 14-16th 2011, the 2CVRT invites you to the heart of the Belgian Ardennes on the world’s most beautiful racetrack – the “Spa-Francorchamps”.

YOu will get a chance to ride “one lap” of the track. This fabulous procession of your 2CV’s – classic, superbly decorated or transformed – will take place shortly before the start of the 24h 2CV race. Thereafter, the 2CV’s will take off for a 24h race, 400 rounds for the bravest.

August 2011 findet in Wervik (Belgien) das 11. “Internationale Oldtimer Meeting” statt: mehr als 450 oldtimers und classic cars und eine Oldtimer-Messe mit mehr als 70 Stände. Mehr als 8000 Besücher aus Belgien, Frankreich, England, NL und Deutschland werden erwartet.

Eintritt und Teilname frei für Alle!

Jedes Jahr gibt es ein spezielles Thema: in 2011 feiern wir den Citroën Traction Avant und organisieren neben dem normalen Classic Car Meeting eine grosse Internationale Traction-Sammlung.

On Sunday August 21th 2011, the local classic car club of Wervik (Belgium) organizes his 11th international classic car meeting. This static car meeting, in the centre of the little town of Wervik, on the border of Belgium and France (20 kms from Lille), will be attended by over 450 oldtimers : classic cars, old agricultural en horticultural machines, motorcycles, army véhicules, vintage cars, … there is also a trade fair with over 70 stands (spare parts, oldtimer literature, miniatures, …).

This meeting, which welcomed last year more than 8000 visitors, is considered as the largest free oldtimer meeting of Belgium and Northern France.

The entrance is free, participation with a classic car or a stand is also free (check conditions on www.oldtimermeeting.be from march 2011 on).

Ce dimanche 21 aout 2011 se déroulera pour la 11e fois le Rassemblement International de Wervik. Ce rassemblement statique dans le centre de cette ville frontalière (à 20 kms de Lille) est considéré comme le plus grand rassemblement gratuit de Belgique et du Nord-Pas de Calais, et acceuille chaque année plus de 450 véhicules anciens de tout genre : voitures anciennes de nombreuses marques (pré 1985), camions et utilitaires d’époque, véhicules militaires, motos et mobylettes anciennes, matériel agricole et horticole d’antan, tracteurs, bolides de sport anciennes, miniatures, … il y a également une bourse couverte et en plein de air de plus de 70 stands (pièces, miniatures, curiosités, …).

Cet évenement est le point de rencontre pour les accros du tacot des quatres coins d’Europe et comptait l’année passée plus que 8000 visiteurs.

L’entrée est gratuite à tous, la participation avec un stand ou un véhicule est également gratuit (ceux qui s’inscrivent d’avance recevront selon certaines conditions un repas gratuit : voir conditions sur www.oldtimermeeting.be à partir de mars 2011) stands intérieurs et extérieurs couvert sont limités, stands à plein air illimités.

Chaque année, le groupe organisateur, les “Wervikse Oldtimer Liefhebbers”, mets en avant une marque ou un modèle spécifique. Cette année, la fameuse et légendaire Citroën Traction Avant sera mis dans les spot-light. Nombreuses Traction Avant seront à l’appel.

Das wichtigste große Citroen Ereignis im Jahr 2010 steht fest: Die belgischen Citroen-Clubs (Amicale Belge des Clubs Citroen, ABCC) organisieren die “CitroenStory 2010 Zolder” auf der berühmten Rennstrecke (ca. 80km zur dt. Grenze) am Wochenende des 24.-25. April 2010, also ein Wochenende vor der Citromobile in Utrecht.

Die ersten Informationen werden gerade auf der Website der Veranstaltung hinterlegt – daher der Hinweis an alle, sich auf http://citroenstory.org/ umzuschauen.
