– Stadtteil Köln Gremberghoven bietet insbesondere logistische Vorteile.

New joint PSA Peugeot Citroën site in Germany decided: Cologne-Gremberghoven

Today’s press release by Citroën Germany, our Amicale’s translation:

New headquarters in newly built site in Cologne Gremberghoven
– Move to the rented property in the second half of 2013
– New site will meet all required standards
– District of Cologne Gremberghoven offers particular logistical advantages

After the announcement some time ago to introduce a common organizational structure in some business segments and to identify
a common location in Cologne, Citroen and Peugeot have now announced the exact location of its future German headquarters. The property is located in the district of Cologne Gremberghoven – near the present site of Citroën Germany GmbH in Cologne Porz.

Olivier Dardart, General Director of Peugeot and Citroën in Germany, Thomas Bauch, Managing Director of Peugeot in Germany, Holger Böhme, Managing Director of Citroën in Germany, and Bruce Brown, Managing Director of PSD Germany GmbH, signed a contract with Hans-Werner Pütz of Pütz Real Estate group during attendance of the Lord Mayor of Cologne, Jürgen Roters. The contracts with the Puetz group foresee the sale of the two previously sites located in Cologne (Citroën) and Saarbrücken (Peugeot) which are currently being owned by PSA Peugeot Citroën. They also include the construction of a new building in Cologne Gremberghoven. PSA Peugeot Citroën will sign long-term leasing contracts for the new property for both brands.

Olivier Dardart emphasized: “The offer of the Pütz group and the good and trustful cooperation have convinced us. The construction of the rented property gives us the opportunity to the specific needs of both our brands and the necessary standards to be considered optimal. Cologne Gremberghoven as location provides us with good transport links to the airport, main railway station and the motorway and thus also optimal logistic conditions. With the decision taken now, we have created clarity for all parties and laid a solid foundation for future growth and further development of the two brands, Peugeot and Citroën in Germany.”

The move to the new Germany headquarter will be executed in the second half of 2013. During the interim period until the completion of the building, the back-office operations of Peugeot and Citroen will be executed at the present site of Citroën Germany GmbH in Cologne Porz with effect from 1 September 2012 onwards.

Sales, Marketing and Communication/Press departments of both brands will continue to operate independently in the future. Until the move is completed, Citroën will continue these operations in the current headquarters in Cologne. The respective Peugeot departments will be moved to an interim site in walking distance to the Citroën headquarter.
