Der französische Auktionator Artcurial hat wieder einmal bewiesen, dass auch für die einfachen ehemaligen “Brot- und Butter-Autos”, die einst in Millionenauflage erschienen, der Markt Preise hergibt, die man bis dato für völlig unrealistisch hielt. Am 22. Juli 2013 wurde ein 1963 Citroën Ami6 Berline – nach unserem oberflächlichen Durchsichten der Online-Fotos bereits restaurierten Limousine, ohne “controle technique” (frz. TÜV), mit abgelesenem Kilometerstand von 19.545km, nicht originalen Reifen und für knapp 20tkm doch recht matten Blinkern – der sagenhafte Preis von 33.693 Euro (!) erzielt; herzlichem Glückwunsch dem Verkäufer des usrprünglich auf 6-10.000 Euro taxierten Fahrzeugs!
Artcurial beschrieb den Wagen – “…eine Gelegenheit, die man nicht verpassen sollte…” – im Auktionskatalog wie folgt:
“…Our example is a rare first version of the saloon, with V-shaped bars on the radiator grille and a 6-volt electrical system. The cabin was as extraordinary as the exterior form: in an attempt to echo the comfort of the DS, it used the single spoke steering wheel and highly inviting, softly-sprung bench seats. The fabric, sporting a pattern of interwoven leaves, remains in rare, original condition, matching the wellconserved state of the rest of the interior, including the dashboard and door-linings. The exterior, which has been restored with a new coat of paint in the original light blue colour has also been well conserved, with its beige vinyl roof. The car is fitted with JOD fog lamps and the odometer reads 19,545 km. The rare condition of this Ami 6, which comes with a period owner’s manual, is a journey back in time, and the retro feel of this car is very appealing today. The model has a real following, attracting enthusiasts who appreciate a car different to anything else produced at that time. Saloons are much more rare and unusual than the break version. Here is an opportunity not to be missed….”
Es stand also nichts von sonst überlicherweise bekannten Vorbesitzern, einer besonderen Historie, das Handbuch war deutlich zerfleddert, die Felgen grauer als im Original – wir hätten sicherlich weniger geboten. Aber hier wurde hoffentlich jemand glücklich – mal schauen, auf welchem Citroën-Treffen dieser Wagen demnächst zu sehen sein wird…!

Artcurial auction: the most expensive Citroën Ami6 ever
On July 22nd, 2013 one of the most remarkable auctions in the history of Citroën lovers has taken place – as part of the Monaco auction we addressed a couple of weeks ago, a Citroën Ami6 Berline built 1963 was sold. While the initial taxation was guestimating some 6.000-10.000 Euro to be achieved, actually a stunning 33-693 Euro were resulting from this bid! And do not forget one thing: this car type ad been built in 100s of thousands (counting all Ami’s, in millions) and thus a “bread-and-butter” car which we never thought would ever reach that level…
From what we have seen superficially from the pics, the car had been repainted resp. restored, the manual was quite torn, the tyres not original Michelins, the rims rather too dark grey, the blinkers quite matte for a 20thousand kilometer usage, no technical control, no ownership history explicitly mentioned – so to us just a restored yet nice car, and the price going up rocket-high with no rational reason. But that is auction business – full of surprises – and it made someone (or actually 3 parties) happy…!

La plus chère Citroën Ami6 du monde
L’enchere d’Artcurial en 22-Juillet-2013 à Monaco (l’Amicale a deja parlé sur cet evenement) est terminée avec une surprise pour les amateurs de la Citroën Ami6 – une limousine de 1963 etait vendu pour un prix super elevèe de 33.693 EUR (le prix etait prevu 6-10.000 Euro)!
Le catalogue d’Artcurial a dit:
“…Notre exemplaire est une rare berline première version, avec sa calandre à deux barrettes en V et son circuit électrique 6 volts. L’habitacle est aussi étonnant que la forme extérieure: cherchant à donner l’impression de confort de la DS, il reprend le volant monobranche et les banquettes moelleuses dans lesquelles on s’enfonce avec délice. Le tissu à motif de feuilles entrelacées présente un état d’origine rare, de même que tout l’intérieur de la voiture, très bien conservé, y compris le tableau de bord et les contreportes. L’extérieur, qui a reçu une couche de peinture de remise en état dans la teinte bleu clair d’origine, est également bien préservé, avec son toit en plastique beige. La voiture est équipée de phares antibrouillard JOD et le compteur affiche 19 545 km. La présentation rare de cette Ami 6, qui est accompagnée d’un manuel d’utilisation d’époque, est un véritable voyage dans le temps, et son allure complètement décalée en fait tout l’attrait aujourd’hui. Elle a d’ailleurs son lot d’inconditionnels, séduits par une automobile différente de toute la production du moment. Les berlines comme celles-ci sont plus rares que les breaks, moins typés. Il faut savoir en profiter….”
Pour nous les photos sont un petit peu different pour justifier cet prix extraordinaire: les pneus pas de l’origine, une neuve peinture, pas de l’histoire connu des anciennes proprietaires, les clignotants très matte pour un age de 20 mille km, les jantes trop gris, le livre trop utilisé aussi, pas de controle technique, … hmmh.
