Im Rahmen des wichtigsten diesjährigen internationalen Citroëntreffens, der “EuroCitro” in Le Mans, fand die Jahreshauptversammlung (JHV) der Delegierten der Amicale Citroën Internationale (ACI) statt, der weltweiten Vereinigung der Citroën- und Panhard-Clubs.
Auf der JHV wurde ein neuer Vorstand gewählt. Als Kandidaten waren angetreten:
Bernie Shaw (UK, bislang zuständig für Events), Morten P H Ruud (Norwegen, bislang Webmaster), Laurent Moret de Rocheprise (Frankreich, Neukandidat), Willem Klein Lankhorst (NL, Neukandidat), Guido Wilhelm (I, Neukandidat) und Stephan Joest (Deutschland, ebenfalls neuer Kandidat).
Der ACI-Vorstand hat in seiner ersten konstituierenden Sitzung unmittelbar im Anschluß an die JHV getagt und die formal wichtigsten Positionen festgelegt:

Laurent Moret de Rocheprise (F) -> Schatzmeister
Morten P H Ruud (Norwegen) -> Sekretär
Bernie Shaw (UK) -> Events
Willem Klein Lankhorst (NL) -> t.b.d.
Guido Wilhelm (IT) -> t.b.d.
Die Wahl muss noch rechtsverbindlich bei der Präfektur hinterlegt werden, da die ACI als Organisation nach frz. Recht von 1901 geführt wird. Dieser formal notwendige Vorgang wird in den nächsten Wochen abgeschlossen sein – wir werden die Clubs auf dem Laufenden halten.
Die Ziele des neuen Vorstands werden sicherlich geprägt durch die großen „ACI Event Of The Year“ (Guido, Bernie und Laurent können auf ICCCR Rom (2008), ICCCR Yorkshire (Harrogate/UK, 2012) und EuroCitro (2014) zurückgreifen, Willem ist im Orga-Team des ICCCR 2016 in NL).
Zum anderen werden wir die jeweiligen „Best Of“-Errungenschaften in nationalen Partnerschaften und Kooperationen mit Citroën und anderen Industriepartnern versuchen zu bündeln, und diese für viele, wenn nicht alle ACI-Länder nutzbringend umzusetzen. Der Kooperationsvertrag beispielsweise, der 2012 in Deutschland zwischen der Citroën Deutschland GmbH und der Amicale und den Clubs abgeschlossen wurde, wird sicherlich dazu beitragen.
Darüber hinaus haben wir die Intention, das ACI-Netzwerk weiter auszubauen – die Kontakte zu Iran, China, Chile, Brasilien und anderen Märkten wurden bereits in den ersten Tagen des neuen Vorstands aufgebaut und wir hoffen, bald noch weitere Länder zur Mitgliedschaft in der ACI gewinnen zu können. Iran ist bereits neues Mitglied geworden.
Der Ausbau der internationalen Partnerschaft mit Automobiles Citroën ist von hoher Priorität auf unserer ACI-Agenda. Es besteht ein erheblicher Nachholbedarf auf unterschiedlichsten Ebenen, dem wir nachkommen müssen und wollen. Hierzu wird derzeit eine Strategie im Vorstand entwickelt. Die Zusammenarbeit mit dem Conservatoire / Citroën Heritage funktioniert bereits sehr gut und effizient.
Weiteres Ziel wird sein, interne Ausgaben zu reduzieren. Dazu werden u.a. andere Arbeitsprinzipien genutzt – email, Telefonkonferenzen und Online-Meetings werden vorrangig vor internen Reisen stehen.
Die Kommunikation der ACI über Entwicklung, Arbeiten und Projektfortschritte wird sicherlich ebenso verbessert.
Kurzum – es gibt spannende Herausforderungen, denen wir uns stellen werden! 🙂

New ACI Board elected during AGM in August 2014
In the context of this year’s most important international meeting of Citroën enthusiasts world-wide, the famous “EuroCitro” in Le Mans, the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Amicale Citroën instead International (ACI), the worldwide association of Citroën and Panhard clubs, took place on 9-Aug-2014.
At the AGM also a new Board was elected. The candidates:
Bernie Shaw (UK, formerly in charge of events), Morten PH Ruud (Norway, formerly Webmaster and Secretary), Laurent Moret de Rocheprise (France, new), Willem Klein Lankhorst (NL, new), Guido Wilhelm (Italy, new) and Stephan Joest (Germany, also new candidate).
The ACI Board has in his first inaugural meeting convened immediately following the AGM and determined the formal principal functions:

Morten P H Ruud (Norway) -> Secretary
Bernie Shaw (UK) -> Events

The election must be filed to make it legally binding with the French authorities since the ACI is set as an organization according to French Law of 1901. This formal process is required to be completed in the next few weeks – we will keep the clubs informed.
The new Board activities are certainly influenced by competencies of the Board members along the big “ACI Event Of The Year” (Guido was part of the ICCCR Rome (2008), Bernie of ICCCR Yorkshire (Harrogate/UK, 2012) and Laurent of the EuroCitro (2014) orga team, Willem is in the organizing team of the ICCCR 2016 (NL).
Secondly, we will intensify the cooperation with Automobiles Citroën and other partners to create more benefits for the ACI resp. their clubs and members in the more than 30 countries. The cooperation agreement, for example, which was signed in 2012 in Germany between the Citroën Deutschland GmbH and the national Amicale Citroën and the clubs will certainly help.
The expansion of international partnership with Automobiles Citroën is a high priority on our agenda at the ACI. There is a considerable demand at different levels which we want to address. To this end, a strategy is currently being developed within the Board. The collaboration with the Conservatoire / Citroën Heritage already works very well and efficiently.
In addition, we have the intention to expand the ACI network – contacts with Iran, China, Chile, Brazil and other markets were already established in the first days of the new Board and we hope soon more countries to membership of the ACI to win. Iran has already become a new member.
Another goal will be to reduce internal expenses. For this purpose, inter alia, other tools will complement our ways of working – email, conference calls and online meetings are being introduced, too.
The communication of the ACI development work and project progress is certainly improved as well.
