2.-5. August 2012: 2nd international Citroën Type H meeting in Netherlands

Let’s imagine a couple of decades ago – the second world war still is in the minds of many. At the “Salon de l’Automobile” in Paris in October 1947, tucked away in a corner for commercial vehicle presentations, a new “Camionette 1.200kgs.” is put on show by Automobiles Citroën. This is the result of a manufacturer that focuses on providing a useful minimalism which has now materialized in the “Le Fourgon Type H-1200 kgs”.

Wafer-thin steel plate, wavy shaped structure, engine and front wheel drive right below the cabin, a revolutionary development for a van and a cargo bay that is as empty as a whole ballroom and has endless capacities…

65 years later, after the Citroen Type H saw the light of day, the Dutch “Citroën HY Team Holland” and “Le Camion” want to invite all Citroën Type H fans to commemorate this important type and role model of its era up to today. On 2-5. August 2012 the celebration takes place at the Flevopolder waterfront area.

The site is centrally located in Flevoland in the Netherlands, and thus easily accessible for all those participating. There is more than enough space for all HY and their owners. The organizers hope to welcome as many as possible participants to make it into a real-world meeting … Type H!

The program is quite attractive – “HY-country games”, spare parts and flea market, extensive entertainment, barbeque etc. – more info about this on the website:

So note down this date in your calendars – and have fun in Zeewolde!

Special thanks to René van der Linden and Jan-Villem Vink du ACI Nederlande for keeping us (and you) updated!
