Citroën DS4 zum „Schönsten Auto des Jahres“ gewählt
Der Citroën DS4, das zweite Modell der DS-Linie, ist von über 60.000 Internetnutzern aus 62 Ländern zum „Schönsten Auto des Jahres“ gewählt worden. Der Preis wurde Frédéric Banzet, Generaldirektor von Citroën, am 27. Januar 2011 anlässlich der offiziellen Zeremonie des 26. Internationalen Automobilfestivals überreicht.
Neben der Prämierung durch das Publikum wurde der Citroën DS4 von einer Jury, die sich aus Vertretern der Welt des Design, des Sports, der Kultur und der Medien zusammensetzt, zum Fahrzeug mit dem „Schönsten Innenraum“ gekürt. Diese zweite Auszeichnung honoriert die Verarbeitungsqualität und das elegante Erscheinungsbild des Citroën DS4 und der DS-Linie im Allgemeinen.
Der Citroën DS4, der auf dem Pariser Autosalon im Oktober 2010 erstmals der Öffentlichkeit präsentiert wurde, ist ein Ausdruck für die „Créative Technolgie“ der Marke. Das Fahrzeug passt perfekt in die Philosophie der DS-Linie, indem er charakteristische Design- und Stilelemente mit einem starken Fahrerlebnis und einer raffinierten Ausstattung verbindet.
Schon auf den ersten Blick lässt das Fahrzeug seinen exklusiven Charakter erkennen, insbesondere durch die Inszenierung des Doppelwinkels im Kühlergrill, das DS-Logo auf der Kühlerhaube und die Lichtleisten, die sowohl tags als auch nachts sichtbar sind. Die Seitenlinie wird insbesondere durch die Chrom-Umrandung der abgedunkelten Seitenscheiben betont und zusätzlich durch die muskulösen Radausschnitte mit bis zu 19-Zoll großen Reifen und das coupéartige Dach bestimmt, das in einem sorgfältig gearbeiteten Spoiler endet. Das harmonische Zusammenspiel von Dynamik, Eleganz und Design war zweifellos ausschlaggebend für die Wahl der Internetnutzer.
Ganz wie das Außendesign strahlt auch das Interieur des Citroën DS4 Kraft, Dynamik und Raffinesse aus: Die Vordersitze mit genarbten Leder, das an das Lederarmband einer Armbanduhr erinnert, das sorgsam gestaltete Armaturenbrett mit einer außergewöhnlichen haptischen Qualität und der von einer Panorama-Windschutzscheibe und einem dunklen Dachhimmel dominierte Fahrgastraum spiegeln den einzigartigen Charaker des Citroën DS4 wider und wurden durch die Jury des Internationalen Automobilfestivals entsprechend gewürdigt.
Das Fahrverhalten dieses erhöhten, viertürigen Coupés hält, was das Design verspricht, und bietet ein einzigartiges Fahrgefühl, das Lust auf Fahren und Bewegung macht.

CITROËN DS4 VOTED MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR OF THE YEAR
The Citroën DS4, the second model in the DS line, has been voted “Most Beautiful Car of the Year” by more than 60,000 web users in 62 countries! The award was presented to Frédéric Banzet, Managing Director of Citroën, at the official ceremony of the 26th International Automobile Festival on 27 January.
Alongside this recognition from the general public, a jury of personalities from the worlds of design, sports, culture and media, specially constituted for the Festival, awarded the DS4 the “Most Beautiful Interior” prize, distinguishing the quality and refinement of the Citroën DS4 and the DS line as a whole.
The Citroën DS4, revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October 2010, is yet further proof of the brand’s “Créative Technologie”. It fully honours the philosophy of the DS line with its bold stance on styling, driving sensations, architecture and sophistication.
The Citroën DS4 communicates its exclusive nature from the very first glance through the position of the chevrons on the grille and its distinctive light guides, visible day and night. The equally sophisticated profile features a chrome-finished waistline surrounding dark-tinted windows, muscular wheel arches that emphasise the large wheels – up to 19 inches – and a tautly-drawn roof culminating in a spoiler for an extra dose of vitality. It is no doubt this coherent whole and status that appealed to web voters.
Like the exterior styling, the interior of the Citroën DS4 exudes power, dynamism and refinement. The body-hugging front seats in “Bracelet” upholstery and finest quality leather, the sculpted dashboard with superior tactile quality and the panoramic windscreen extending backwards into a dark roof express the DS4’s strong personality and were applauded by the jury at the International Automobile Festival.
Delivering on the driving sensations promised by its styling, the raised, four-door coupé promises a unique road feel that makes travelling and movement irresistible.
