Im Rahmen der gestrigen Gala-Veranstaltung des “Motor Klassik Awards” wurde die Citroën DS in der Kategorie “Design Meilenstein des Jahres” mit dem ersten Platz ausgezeichnet. Mit einem großen Abstand zu den Verfolgern stimmten 37,2% der insgesamt 17.368 teilnehmenden Leser der Zeitschrift “Motor Klassik” für die Göttin – einmal mehr wurde sie als Stilikone in den “automobilen Olymp” gewählt.
Patrick Dinger, verantwortlich für DS Automobiles in Deutschland, nahm im Colosseum Theater in Essen/Ruhr die Auszeichnung entgegen. Sie wird in den nächsten Tagen auf der “Technoclassica 2018” in Essen auf dem Stand der Ausstellergemeinschaft der deutschen Citroën-Clubs, der “Citroën-Strasse” in Halle 9.1, zu sehen sein. Wir würdigen diesen Designklassiker u.a. mit der Präsentation von zwei Fahrzeugen, einer wunderschönen DS 21 Pallas sowie einem in hervorragendem Zustand präsentierten DS Break, an dem nicht nur ein weiteres Meisterwerk des seinerzeitigen Citroën-Chefdesigners Flaminio Bertoni, sondern auch die herausragende und innovative Technologie dieses Modells studiert werden kann.
Darüber hinaus wurde auch der Citroën SM von 15.6% der Jury auf den 2. Platz der Klassiker der 70er Jahre gewählt – herzlichen Glückwunsch! Auch ein SM wird auf dem Clubstand ausgestellt.

And the winner is…. Citroën DS!
We are happy to share with you the the famous Citroën DS, the “goddess”, has been awarded yesterday one of the most renowned and prestigious prizes in the world of historic vehicles – the German “Motor Klassik Award” celebration took place on 20-March-2018 in the context of the “Technoclassica 2018” event, world’s largest historic vehicle show in Essen/Ruhr.
Patrick Dinger, country manager of DS Automobiles in Germany, gladly accepted the honor. The award now is being presented at the Technoclassica. Visitors are warmly welcome to meet us at Hall 9.1 where the German Citroën clubs present at their joint booth “Citroën-Strasse” a wide variety of vehicles, amongst them a marvellous DS 21 and a top-restored DS Break from 1973. The design of Citroën’s famous chief design responsible Flaminio Bertoni as well as the technical innovations of these cars can be not only admired but also studied and explained by the clubs on show.
With a clear difference to the runner-ups (38,2% of a voting jury of 17.368 “Motor Klassik” subscribers voted for it), the Citroën DS once more proved to be an outstanding icon in the automotive history.
Additionally, the Citroën SM was awarded the 2nd prize in the category “Classics of the 1970s”. Again, one of these upper class sport coupés is on show at our Technoclassica booth.
