https://app.sugarsync.com/iris/wf/D1866000_75499944_25007

Bemerkenwswert diesmal die frühe Geschichte von André Citroëns Entwicklungen: “How American Budd Made Citroën a Forerunner in the European Car Industry” – die Zusammenarbeit mit Edward George Budd – und übrigens: Budd wurde 1976 von Thyssen übernommen!

2013.traction-avant-inspiration-1931-joseph-ledwinka

Viel Spass beim Lesen!

Summer in the Americas: the new CITROENVIE is published

For us European’s in or around the “Citroën mothership” it is always fascinating to see the engagement in rather exotic markets to go on. CITROENVIE co-editor George Dyke is one of those active people who constantly spread news to the rest of the world about the America’s engagement.

In his latest release, now available in a low-res version at ISP SugarSync:

https://app.sugarsync.com/iris/wf/D1866000_75499944_25007

CITROENVIE reports an interesting story about the America’s view onto Citroën’s technical development:

“How American Budd Made Citroën a Forerunner in the European Car Industry”

is really bringing lots of detailed info – mostly unknown to the majority of us – about the cooperation of André Citroën with Edward George Budd – by the way: 1976 Budd was taken over by the Germans: Thyssen is the new owner…

And had the famous “Traction Avant” been inspired by Joseph Ledvinka’s car from 1931? Find out more…

2013.citroenvie-02

And, of course, also big events like the “Bastille Day 2013” on July 14th is certainly worth a look for all those being in NYC at that time.

So – enjoy the read! and thanks to George for sharing this info with you.

https://app.sugarsync.com/iris/wf/D1866000_75499944_25007

“How American Budd Made Citroën a Forerunner in the European Car Industry”
